For the Faerie's Aire and Death Waltz, I'm certain that the correct solution (if there is one) is to stop thinking, and literally do everything that's in the score – especially making sure that, when the instructions contradict themselves, you must do both at once. There are several editions of Haydn's piano sonatas. The Karl Päsler 1918 Breitkopf und Härtel edition contains 52 sonatas which correspond to the 52 sonatas in Anthony van Hoboken's catalogue.
